Abstract

This study aimed to explore the citizens' perspectives of reproductive health issues at Tanjungmas Regency. The main research subjects were residents representative of Tanjungmas Regency which consisted of parents, stakeholder and cadres. The supporting research subjects were healthcare officers and KUA officers. Data were collected through FGD and were analyzed interactively using Miles and Huberman model. According to
informants of reproductive health issues in Tanjungmas were promiscuity and unwanted pregnancy in adolescents. The reason was the lack of knowledge of adolescents about reproductive health. This lack of  knowledge of adolescents was related to the condition of their parents which the majority of  them were in low social, economic, and educational
status. Parents were busily working to fulfill their daily needs so they gave less supervision to the children. The informants wanted a counseling about reproductive health for adolescents and religious studies to teach morality in pengajian, and not just ritual of Yasinan and Perjanjen. Those information could be disseminated through the existing WhatsApp group used by citizens there and pengajian. Citizens also hoped to have Posyandu for adolescents as a forum to get reproductive health information.
