Uji Antibakteri Daun Stevia dalam Formulasi Sabun Padat Jeruk Nipis

Abstract


Soap is one product that is quite important in human life to cleanse itself.
Bath soap products have developed into primary needs across all walks of life. Soap can be used to treat skin diseases caused by bacteria and fungi. the antibacterial bath soap has attracted many people, but antibacterial solid soap based on natural ingredients is still slightly developed. The addition of stevia leaf extract and water squeeze of lime is needed to improve the quality of antibacterial solid soap. Stevia contains diterpene glycosides which are useful as a low-calorie sweetener and other therapeutic effects such as antibacterial and lime juice containing flavonoids as antibacterial by the mechanism of denaturing bacterial cell proteins and damaging cell membranes without being irreparable. Antibacterial testing is done by the method of wells where the sample will be formulated with Stevia leaf content variation is 0 grams; 0.7 grams; 1.4 grams and 2.1 grams. Bacterial test results showed that solid soap with a combination of stevia leaves and lime juice was more effective at killing
bacteria than solid soap without stevia leaf content with the best inhibition zone diameter of 19.25 mm.
