ANALISIS PENCAPAIAN KOMPETENSI KOGNITIF DAN SELF CONFIDENCE SISWA PADA MATERI FUNGSI EKSPONEN MELALUI TWO-TIER TEST

Abstract


This research is a descriptive study that aims to find out the achievement of students ‘cognitive competencies in exponential function material and to find out students’ self confidence in learning mathematics. This research was conducted in MAN 1 Kota Semarang with 35 research subjects in grade X MIPA 4. The research was conducted trough a written test using s two-tier multiple choice diagnostic test. The research instrument used 15 selected two-tier test items. In collecting data, students are asked to answer at the first level as well as the second reason. The results showed that the level of achievement of competency indicators that could be achieved by students on exponential function material was 88,67%. The basic competency of exponential function material in class X MIPA 4 can already be achieved by students very well. While the level of achievement of students’ self confidence is 10%. That is, the level of achievement of
students’ self confidence in class X MIPA 4 MAN 1 Kota Semarang is relatively low.
