Abstract
This study aims to determine the effect of teacher teaching methods using problem based learning cooperative learning methods on student learning interest, with quantitative descriptive research types. The method of teaching the teacher uses problem based learning as a free variable and learning interest as a dependent variable. The sample technique used is purposive sampling. The study population was all students of class XI SMA 9 Semarang, with students in class XI-IPS 2 as samples. The research tool used is questionnaire and documentation. The results of the questionnaire were tested for normality and then analyzed for simple linear regression. The results of the normality test of teacher teaching methods using cooperative learning methods based learning problems are normally distributed with sig (0.146) and students' learning interest is also normally distributed with sig (0.117), the linearity test is that there is a linear relationship with sig (0.014), the significance test results are obtained sig (0.014) so that the coefficient of the variable is significant with the regression equation model Y = 39.005 + 0.246 X, and the results of the influence test are obtained R ^ 2 = (0.196) which means the competency of teaching methods using cooperative learning problem based learning affects students' learning interest by 19,6% while 80,4% is influenced by other factors.
