PENERAPAN VALUE ENGINEERING PADA PENGEMBANGAN PRODUK SEPATU RUNNING ARTIKEL ALFIERI UNTUK EFISIENSI BIAYA MATERIAL DI PT.MUSTIKA DHARMAJAYA SIDOARJO JAWA TIMUR
Abstract
Problems faced in the development of shoes running alfieri articles are
caused by the terms of the design process, assembly, and the high cost of
materials due to the use of imported materials. Value engineering is a method that has the advantage in controlling costs with approaches by analyzing the value of its function without eliminating the quality and reliability desired.
The purpose of this study to determine the implementation of
value engineering for the cost efficiency of materials on the development of shoes running alfieri articles in PT. MustikaDharmajaya. This study uses
several methods at each stage of value engineering with the opinion of four shoes experts. The information stage using interview and Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) method to find out the problems that exist in shoes running alfieri articles. The creative stage uses the screening and scoring method to find out some alternatives and select the viable alternatives to proceed according to the four experts. The analytical stage uses Analytic Hierarcy Process (AHP) method to determine the criteria weight and performance calculation and to do cost analysis on each design alternative.
Value calculation is done at the stage of development and determination of the selected design.
The chosen design alternative of some value engineering stage
according to the assessment of the four experts is the alternativedesign3 with the highest value. Alternative design 3 applies engineering to the use of materials and designs so as to reduce the cost of shoe material running alfieri articles.
