Abstract


Asset management must be accountable and professional to be able to
describe wealth/asset at such region.  Asset consist of various shapes and
kinds as well as its different geographical location. Such lost territory or
switched ownership may be happened due to the weak assets management.
The weakness in asset management of the local government will surely have an adverse impact on investment and have a negative effect on regional development efforts. GIS is a method to describe such region in computerbased system that able to produce data and geographic information with well and appropriate to the recent condition and support any decision making. The method used were mapping the location and asset condition based on the territory then provided in detail along the location map. The system development used were waterfall method. GIS application may determine the distribution as well as land and building assets condition in each sub-district to village, it can provide information services to the society about its land and building assets status, also support the effectiveness and accountability in planning, documentation and observation about the study materials and considerations by the related parties in building and developing Pekalongan City area.
