ANALISIS KEMAMPUAN KOMUNIKASI MATEMATIS SISWA PADA MATERI STATISTIKA KELAS XII DI SMA NEGERI 2 SEMARANG
Abstract
Mathematics is the basis for all science and there are many symbols that have clear and mutually agreed meanings, mathematical skills alone are not sufficient but mathematical communication skills are very important for every student so that students can communicate their knowledge again. The purpose of this study was to describe and determine the level of
ability of each student in mathematical communication, linking material with everyday life and in the use of mathematical symbols. This research method is descriptive qualitative, the research was carried out with the research subjects of class XII students in Semarang. The research method uses observation techniques, written tests, student questionnaires, and
student interviews. The results showed that overall the students' mathematical communication skills were included in the good criteria and there was 1 questionnaire indicator that was in the good criteria, 3 indicators in the written test were included in the good criteria, while other indicators were included in the very good criteria. In the social
studies class, there is 1 indicator that is still low but falls into good criteria, namely the indicator of presenting information using a distribution table appropriately on statistics material. From the results of the analysis, it was concluded that from the overall score of the XII grade students, it was included in the criteria for both their mathematical ability and
mathematical communication mathematically.
