Abstract

In the production system the things that are often talked about are cauldron and productivity. Where
quality and productivity affect each other When a company produces quality goods with low defective
product levels then productivity can increase. because the output generated is many and there is no
rework to repair the defective product. One company that is very concerned about quality is CV. Savana
Rattan Cirebon. In the work section of CV.Savana Rattan Cirebon there are still defective products
produced, one of which is the new nabire chair. Therefore, research is carried out in that section to
find out what factors are causing defects in the product and to look for proposed improvements to
minimize the types of defects that occur. The method used is Lean Six Sigma by finding out what waste
there is and finding the cause and repair through define, measure, analyze, improve and control
(DMAIC) stages. But the study focuses on the waste of defective products. Sigma's average level in the
new nabire chair is 3.002 and with a DPMO value of 67468 units. In the new nabire chair there are 5
types of defects that are the most dominant, namely stretch connection with the main cause is the press
machine is not working with the maximum, rpn value of 810. Oblique level with the main cause is work
done at night RPN value of 240, raw materials with the main cause is wrong in the manufacture of rpn
value pieces of 135, pin holes with the main cause that workers are carried out at night rpn value of
240 and the frame is not sturdy with the main cause of the use of material value rpn of 140. So that
action can be taken to make improvements with the Kaizen approach.
