WATERMARKING TECHNIQUE USING LEAST SIGNIFICANT BIT METHOD ON BATIK MOTIF IMAGE
Abstract
Batik is an artworks that become Indonesian indigenous culture. It is aknowledged that batik
is the Indonesian characteristic with the various culture. The culture diversity showed by the
various motifs. Batik diversity is an origin character from its region in Indonesia. Pekalongan
batik has been developing and keep the local wisdom involved by emerging the certain colors
as well as a combination between nature and modern motifs. The developing batik motif
resulted the various batik art in Pekalongan with its various kinds. Every single batik motif
needs to be copyright protected as an appreciation of the nation man creation. In the digital
marketing era of Pekalongan batik through marketplace that has been reached an unlimited
world. Nevertheless the digital batik motif pattern uploaded is prone to be manipulated, the
digital copyright protection upon the batik motif pattern is needed. The research was done by
designing and developing the watermarking application using Least Significant Bit (LSB)
method. The testing system of the designed watermarking application was done by batik motif
pattern data that is given by text message describing the batik motif pattern. The application
is functioned properly and can be used as the solution of batik pattern copyright protection.
