HUBUNGAN KEMAMPUAN MEMBACA DENGAN MENYELESAIKAN SOAL CERITA MATEMATIKA SISWA SD PLUS NURUL HIKMAH PAMEKASAN

Abstract

v>This study aims to determine the correlation between studentsreading abilityand the ability to solve mathematics word problems at SD Plus Nurul HikmahPamekasan. The type of research is Correlation Research with the population of 110grade 4 students at SD Plus Nurul Hikmah. The sample is 22 students selected throughrandom sampling technique. The results showed that, r count = 0.645 higher than rtable = 0.423. Because r count > r table, Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, whichmeans there is a correlation between students reading ability and the ability to solvemathematics word problem at SD Plus Nurul Hikmah Pamekasan. The influence ofreading ability towards the ability to solve mathematic word problems is 41,6%. Whilethe 58,4% is affected by other variable.Keywords: Reading Ability, Mathematics word problem
