Pola dan Struktur Kalimat Sebab Akibat pada Kalimat Deklaratif di Terjemahan Al-Qur’an Bahasa Inggris

Abstract

Al-Qur’an berisi aturan-aturan yang menjelaskan semua hal tentang kehidupan dunia maupun akhirat. Perbuatan manusia akan dimintai pertanggungjawaban atas apa yang mereka lakukan. Hal tersebut berhubungan dengan sebab akibat. Jika manusia melakukan kebaikan, mereka akan mendapatkan balasan yang baik. Sebaliknya jika
manusia melakukan keburukan, mereka akan mendapatkan balasan yang buruk. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan pola dan struktur kalimat sebab akibat pada kalimat deklaratif di terjemahan Al-Qur’an bahasa Inggris. Data penelitian diambil dari teks terjemahan Al-Qur’an bahasa Inggris oleh Abdullah Yusuf Ali. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Peneliti menggunakan metode acak untuk menentukan sampel penelitian. Metode purposive sampling digunakan untuk mengambil sampel data. Peneliti menemukan 62 kalimat sebab akibat pada kalimat deklaratif di terjemahan Al-Qur’an bahasa Inggris. Peneliti menggunakan phrase structure rule (PSR) untuk menganalisis kalimat sebab akibat, dan disajikan menggunakan phrase
structure tree (PST). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pola kalimat sebab akibat lebih banyak diterapkan menggunakan pola 1 berjumlah 33 kalimat. PSR pada kalimat sebab akibat juga banyak ditemukan pada kalimat majemuk setara bertingkat 53 kalimat, diikuti pada kalimat majemuk bertingkat 6 kalimat, dan pada kalimat majemuk setara 3 kalimat.

Abstract

The Qur’an contains with the rules and guidelines that explains the life in the world or hereafter. The human will be asked consequences of their actions. It is related to the relation of cause and effect. If Muslim do good thing, they will get good effect. Whereas, if Muslim do bad thing, they will get bad effect. This research is aimed to explain the patterns, and the structures of cause and effect on declarative sentences in English translation of the Qur’an. Data are taken from the text of English translation of the Qur’an by Abdullah Yusuf Ali. The research used a descriptive qualitative method. The researcher used random method to determine the sample of research. The purposive sampling method is used to get the data. The researcher found 62 cause and effect on declarative sentences in English translation of the Qur’an. The researcher used phrase structure rule (PSR) to analyze cause and effect sentences, and presented using phrase structure tree (PST). The results of the research show that the pattern of cause and effect on declarative sentences are applied in pattern 1 for about 33 sentences. The PSR of cause and effect on declarative sentences are applied in compound complex sentence 53 sentences, following by complex sentences 6 sentences and compound sentence 3 sentence.
