ANALISIS KEAKTIFAN KOMUNIKASI PESERTA DIDIK PADA PEMBELAJARAN KIMIA (Studi Kasus di Kota Semarang)

Abstract


This study aims to determine the level of student communication activeness in learning chemistry in one of the Semarang city schools. The activeness of student communication in learning chemistry is very important in student learning, because the activeness of communication is a measure of student success in receiving and understanding learning. The success of communication activity can be seen from 4 aspects, namely oral
activities, listening activities, visual activities, and emotional activities. If all four aspects have been fulfilled well, then good communication activities are achieved. The method used in this research is descriptive method with a qualitative approach through case studies. In this study, researchers used three forms of instruments including chemistry teacher
interviews, student questionnaires, and observation of classroom activities. The results of this study can be concluded that the activeness of student communication in learning chemistry in Semarang city schools has a good percentage level. This can be seen from several aspects, namely aspects of verbal activities are very good, listening activities are very good, visual activities are very good, and emotional activities are good. Thus the
average of these four aspects can be drawn percentage of student communication activeness in learning chemistry y including excellent communication activeness.
