Abstract

This study was conducted to determine the learning interest of students in chemistry subjects. Peneletian is done using qualitative descriptive method, which is done using instruments such as poll, interview, and observation. The study was conducted on high school students with amplified interviews against teacher models or teacher subjects. The lack of interest in learning chemistry in students is caused by the complexity of chemical subjects as well as less active teacher of subjects in using learning models in the classroom. Students are less interested in chemical subjects in the cause because students consider chemical subjects to be difficult to understand, in addition to the teacher of the model or teacher of the subject's lack of subject matter Everyday life.
