ANALISIS KESALAHAN MAHASISWA DALAM MENYELESAIKAN SOAL INTEGRAL

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the types of student errors and their factors. This research is a qualitative descriptive study with the sample of this research are students of mathematics education department program semester II 2018/2019 academic year at Ivet University. Data obtained using written tests and interviews. The results of the study show the types of student errors including concept errors, principle errors, and operating errors. The factors of errors made by students in solving integral problems include students not careful in solving problems, students do not understand determining the upper and lower limits, students do not understand integration techniques, and students only memorize concepts or formulas without meaningful understanding.
