ANALISIS STRES DENGAN KEJADIAN NYERI GOUT ARTHRITIS PADA LANSIA

Abstract

The prevalence of gout arthritis in Batam City is 4138 and the highest is in Puskesmas Batu
Aji with 615 cases. One of the incidence of arthritis gout pain is caused by stress. This study
aims to determine the difference between stress and the incidence of gout arthritis pain in the
elderly. This type of research is an analytical study with a case control design. The
population of this study were the elderly ≥ 60 years with a total of 30 case respondents and
30 control respondents in the Puskesmas Batu Aji, Batam City. The sampling technique used
was purposive sampling. The results showed that most of the elderly experienced stress and
pain of gout arthritis as many as 24 (40.0%). From the results of the chi square statistical
test, it was found that the p value = 0.001 (<0.05), with the results of an Odd Ratio of 6,000,
this shows that elderly people who experience stress have a 6 times greater risk of
experiencing gouty arthritis pain.
