ANALYSIS OF EDUCATION FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT COMPETENCIES AND SCIENCE PROCESS SKILLS IN PRESERVICE TEACHERS PROJECTS
Abstract
This study aims to analyze the product of the students' learning in the subject of
Mathematics, Science, Technology and Engineering (MSTR) on the Education
for Sustainable Development (ESD) aspect and integrated science process skills.
These products are in the form of student worksheets, posters and learning videos
that were originally created by Pre-service teacher. The research method applied
is descriptive method with ex post facto research approach. The research
population in this study were all FPMIPA faculty students in one of the State
LPTKs who contracted MSTR courses. The samples taken in the study were 95
students using cluster random sampling technique. The instruments used are the
integrated science process skills assessment which prioritizes aspects of the
scientific process and the rubric for assessing indicators of the competencies of
ESD. The results show that the two ESD indicators and integrated science
process skills can be improved through project assignments assigned to the
MSTR course learning with Student Worksheets (LKM) obtaining the highest
average ESD aspect score of 3,03 and the type of article project obtaining the
highest average score of 3,03. 3,18 on the aspects of integrated science process
skills. The different types of projects are the key points for high aspects of ESD
and science process skills can be improved in research.
